An Introduction to Describing People

Lesson Description

This lesson is designed for English Language learners who want to improve their vocabulary and communication skills related to describing physical appearance and personality traits of individuals.

Lesson Objectives:

• Identify and use adjectives to describe physical appearance and personality.
• Write short descriptions of people using appropriate vocabulary.
• Create a detailed personal profile on Sway.

Lesson Activities:

1. Reading Passages
   Students will read two short texts about Aisha, one focusing on her physical appearance and the other on her personality traits.
2. Vocabulary Practice
   Students will learn and practice adjectives related to appearance and personality.
3. Guided Writing
   Students will write short descriptions of their partners using the new vocabulary.
4. Main Task – Creating a Personal Profile on SWAY.
   Students will create a detailed personal profile on Sway, incorporating vocabulary and grammar learned.
5. Peer Review
   Students will review each other’s descriptions and provide feedback using a checklist.
